Every boat has the riggers custom fit to the boat. On custom-ordered boats (most domestic orders and many North American orders) the span/spread, oarlock heights, and the shoe-heel depth is set at the factory by foreman Neil and/or assistant-foreman Norm. This way the boats are ready to row on arrival.
